Our Process

The Prints

Most of our garments start from the graphics, hence the “Prints” in Pitstop Prints. From all the carspotting Luca has observed a lot about how the design has evolved in cars over the years and we try to tell these stories through the graphics we design.

The prints are always designed fully by us, even though on collaborations you may see imagery from other artists.

The Garments

After having the print graphic ready we then pick a pattern for the garment. Whether it is a t-shirt, hoodie, or anything else, we have multiple types of way they can fit the body, so we choose the most appropriate one for the story we’re trying to tell through the print.

The graphic then needs to be adapted to the dimensions and we find the right placement for it.

The Materials

We don’t play around when it comes to the materials. If you see something made of cotton in our collection it will be made from a thick, wealthy and breathable cotton that we picked after going through several prototypes and wear tests them.

The same is applicable for synthetics and any other family of materials, even though we rarely use other compounds or blends.

We make sure that a slightly higher purchase price is reflective of a long lasting material. Combined with the quality of the sewing everything, the customer will always receive a garment that can be worn for many years after the purchase.

The Packing

We pack each order by hand and we make sure that each envelope contains a few extra goodies ;)

Whether the shipping is local or international, the envelopes we use will protect the garments you ordered from liquids, smells, or any other damaging agents, and we can safely state that after having clothes that crossed oceans to our customers.

The Order

When you order, all of the parts described above come together.

We create the clothes for each order individually from scratch. This on-demand production means an order will take slightly longer than a household brand or retailer, but at the same time you can make sure that the garment you order was made by passionate people specifically for you.

We believe this makes the clothes more special for everyone, but most importantly we try to act against mass consumption with thoughtful buying and creation of new garments, furthering the push for sustainability.

Even though this is not the norm when it comes to clothes, we hope the craft and effort that go into an order is something worth your appreciation and enjoyment once you have ordered.

But of course if anything seems to you as not up to par, or according to this description, we are always more than happy to resolve the situation and find the best way to make the garments good for you.
